On Sunday mornings, the children and congregation together attend the start of worship in the sanctuary. After the Children’s Sermon, students and teachers depart to their Sunday School classes which are held in the adjoining Christian Education Building.
Currently, the Sunday School is using the Workshop Zone program, ” a Bible-story driven curriculum that taps in to the way kids love to learn. The fun, discovery-based activities are designed to enrich each lesson and lead kids to synthesize and apply God’s Word to their lives.” ( from Welcome to Workshop Zone at davidccook.com)
The Sunday School staff and children support various mission projects. Recently, the Sunday School has helped support a missionary project for a local church in Sudan and contributed to the International Heifer Project.
